Words of Inspiration:
“It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about” – Dale Carnegie
“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference” -Winston Churchill
“Ability is what you are capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.” – Lou Holtz
Parents and/or Guardians,
This month our weekly lessons in class are focusing on Attitude!
How can I help? Parents-being aware of your child’s attitude can tell you a lot! If you child has always been happy and fun-loving but suddenly starts showing a very different attitude, something is wrong. It is up to you to find out what that might be. Make a habit of spending a few uninterrupted minutes talking with your child after school everyday. Get them used to talking about what is going on.
Teaching your child to have a positive attitude will also help them develop good self-esteem and confidence. Attitude is all about the way we think about something. Just tweaking our attitude a little bit or changing the way we look at something can make all the difference in the world as to how we feel.
Recognize your child’s attitude and, if it needs a change, work with your child to affect that change. The way we think is powerful and life changing!
“Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.” – Jimmy Johnson
